Thoseghar Waterfall is the adorable and blue beautiful waterfalls in the forest situated near the small village of Thoseghar in Satara District the state of Maharashtra. The waterfalls are at a minor distance of 26 km from Satara district. At the edge of the Kokan region, the waterfalls are arising.

These waterfalls join a progression of tiny and large picturesque waterfalls, some of which are negligible 15-30 meters in height while the most elevated one is around 500 meters in height. As per the legend, the Thoseghar Waterfall is also known as Ram and Lakshman Waterfalls. Consequently, as the name recommends, the falls have been named after the Hindu blessed God Ram and Lakshman.

Water gathered from a wide range of mountains mostly from Kaas and Mahabaleshwar along with Panchgani starts flowing further via Thoseghar Waterfall. The origin of the Tarlee River is from these waterfalls.

There is a picnic area and a recently built platform that gives a good view of the waterfall and also, this platform provides to enter into the valley, but it is not that much safe to do during heavy showers.

There are 2 major points marked as Chota Dhabdhaba (small waterfall), and Bada Dhabdhaba (big waterfall). To reach all these place, proper directions with good stairs and instructions are given. The area is quite serene and tranquil, with a clean lake located between the dark woods. One can pay visit to the vistas of Bada Dhabdhaba (big waterfall) and eye-soothing green valley. There is a picnic area and a newly constructed platform which gives a good view of the waterfall. This place was full of visitors busy adoring the view of the waterfall.

Tourists come from all over Maharashtra to visit this place during, the rainy season in however to feel the monsoon wonder. That is to say that this place is full of natural beauty and pleasing climate. There are few hotels and restaurants nearby for food and stay that make possible to eat veg and non-veg meal after visiting the area.

Best Time to visit Thoseghar Waterfall

Thoseghar falls is one of the best monsoon tourist places. However, the best season to visit falls is from July to November and in August there found a peak crowd.
